So how about these tomatoes I picked this weekend? Our plants haven't been as productive as I hoped (blame that damn heat!), but they sure do taste great.
My name is Pam, and I live in Memphis, Tennessee, with my husband, Tony, our cat, Sami, and our dog, Griffin. I tried to start a vegetable garden two summers ago. I bought two tomato stakes for a quarter at a yard sale and threw them over a teal blue pot in my courtyard. That's as far as I got. Last summer, I did better, growing a number of vegetables with mixed success. This year, I doubled the size of my garden and continue to be inspired by my CSA from Whitton Farms, my daughter who always wanted me to grow vegetables, and my grandfather, who once burned down some of the woods behind Aunt Jeanne's house so he could make his vegetable garden even bigger.
I'm looking at that massive pod of okra! Huge! Also love your little vintage knick-knacks.
